![]() Not a big deal if you are a low volume shooter, but for a Wedding or Sport photog, this slows you down in a big way. You want to change white balance for 250 shots, you have to do that in the RAW processor's batch processor. PM would show those previews when displaying images so I could browse my images and see the edited versions. With Capture NX2, it worked great because CNX2 would create hi res previews embedded in the RAW file.Read Scott Kelby's blog about using PM in sports PM is THE tool for sports photographers who must grab photos and apply tagging and quickly upload to news services.You can also open multiple folders at once which is better than most other "browsers" I do an initial rating and deleting of duds as well as keywording the keepers. I still use PM to import photos into my own file folder. PM is a better import/tagging/metadata tool. ![]() And then I gravitated to Catalog/Aperture approac, though I hold out hope that PM will release its Catalog add-on at some point (it's 2 or 3 years late now, so I wonder if we'll ever see it). There was a time when I was 100% Browser+editor (PM + Nikon Capture NX2 not unlike PM and photoninja). A lot of what I've read here reflects my personal journey between methods. I have had PhotoMechanic for 5 years and Aperture since it first came out. ![]() I didn't realize when I started it 2 years ago it would come back to life.
